Jan Fennell was inspired after meeting the renowned horseman Monty Roberts ‘The Man Who Listens to Horses’. Monty studied wild horses to determine how they communicated with one another. Rejecting the old methods of breaking horses by dominating them and enforcing human will upon them, Monty used what he learnt to work with horses by winning their trust and forming a partnership between man and animal. His regular clients include Her Majesty the Queen.

Jan decided to investigate dogs in the same way. By observing wolves, African wild dogs, Coyotes, Dingoes, Jackals and others, she was able to understand their world in the same way that Monty did with horses. Her method is taught  and used worldwide and her numerous books are published internationally in many languages.

Jan is the original “Dog Listener”* and Amichien® is the only method of working with dogs that’s endorsed by Monty. *(To ensure correct  use of Amichien work with a Jan Fennell Associate)

Jan Fennell’s Amichien® Bonding is a well established, highly successful, and kind way of working with dogs to achieve desired behaviours.

By respecting our dogs and understanding how they perceive the world around them, we can enable them to work with us of their own free will, resulting in stress free, happy dogs that respond to our requests.

'Amichien® Bonding’ gives you a full understanding of why a dog does what it does.

Through a simple 4 point plan you can gently correct undesirable behaviour without use of force, fear, drugs or gadgets.

There are many different theories and dog training solutions available, but I see this one working all the time. If you are not convinced, I urge you to read a copy of “The Dog Listener”. It should be available at your local library, or affordable copies can be bought on eBay. Clients who have read the book say that it makes perfect sense, is simple, and non aggressive, and that is the reason they choose to use Amichien Bonding.
